In addition to providing exceptional
preventive and restorative dental care, we offer patients
a vast array of cosmetic dentistry services designed to enhance
the beauty of their smile. To learn more about any of the
procedures featured below, please contact
our office today.
Teeth Whitening
Our teeth inevitably lose their
natural white luster from the effects of aging, smoking, and
the consumption of coffee, tea, and cola. However, thanks
to advances in cosmetic dentistry, dental professionals can
now improve the appearance of teeth that have become dull
or discoloured. In order to help our patients develop whiter,
brighter smiles, we provide the latest in-office and at-home
teeth whitening solutions. Teeth whitening treatments are
among the more popular cosmetic dental procedures performed
today and can dramatically enhance the beauty of your smile
in less than an hour.
For patients who wish to improve
their smile in the comfort and convenience of their own home,
we offer the Day White® smile kit. Much more effective
than store bought whitening toothpastes, this system allows
patients to experience a whiter, more vibrant smile in a matter
of days. The Day White® system includes a mint flavoured
whitening gel and a mouthpiece that is worn for 30 minutes
twice a day.

Porcelain Veneers
Rivaled in popularity perhaps
only by teeth whitening, porcelain veneers are an excellent
option for patients who desire an attractive, vibrant smile.
Veneers are thin, porcelain laminates that are adhered to
the front of teeth to effectively eliminate the appearance
of stains, chips, cracks, and gaps. Veneers may even be used
in place of braces for some people who require minor adjustments
to their smile.
Porcelain veneers are applied
over a period of three visits. During your initial visit,
our dental team will explain the benefits as well as limitations
of veneers and create a personalized treatment plan that is
best suited for your needs. Upon your second visit, will remove
a small thin layter of enamel from your teeth in order to
compensate for the size of the veneers. This portion of the
procedure is essentially painless; however, if you experience
any discomfort you may choose to receive a local anesthetic.
Following the tooth preparation step, an impression of your
teeth is taken and send to our lab where your veneers will
be custom crafted for a perfect fit. When you return to our
office, the veneers will be bonded to your teeth with a bonding
cement and apply a curing light to secure their placement.
Porcelain veneers are crafted
from a material that is highly resistant to staining from
the effects of smoking and drinking coffee, colas, and teas.
Because veneers are durable and can be enjoyed for up to ten
years, they make an excellent investment in your smile

Bonding
Dental bonding is a procedure
that allows dentists to restore the appearance of chipped,
stained, or broken teeth as well as close gaps between teeth.
Bonding is also used as an aesthetically pleasing alternative
to traditional silver fillings, helping to add health and
beauty to one's smile. During a dental bonding procedure,
the damaged tooth is coated with a composite resin material
and then hardens the material with a special curing light.
The procedure is completed by shaping the tooth and, finally,
polishing it to produce a healthy sheen.
Many people who are interested
in cosmetic dentistry find dental bonding to be a highly desirable
treatment option because it takes less time to complete and
is less expensive than other cosmetic procedures.
If you would like to improve
your smile, but are hesitant to undergo extensive treatment,
bonding may be just what you're looking for. Contact our office
today to find out if this procedure is right for you.

Inlays / Onlays
Inlays and onlays serve as aesthetically
pleasing dental care options for patients who suffer from
extensive tooth decay or damage. An inlay is used to repair
damage that lies within the center of a tooth, whereas an
onlay is used when the damage extends from the center of a
tooth to one or more of the cusps (outer, pointed edges of
a tooth). These custom crafted restorations are used when
damage or decay is too substantial to be treated with a filling
yet not extensive enough to require a crown.
Both inlays and onlays can be
made of tooth-coloured composite resin, porcelain, or even
gold. During a patient's initial visit to our office, the
tooth surface is prepared by removing decay or an existing
silver filling. An impression of the tooth is then taken and
and sent it to our lab where a technician carefully crafts
the restoration, which is designed to fit securely and comfortably
on the patient's tooth. During the second visit, the restoration
is set in place by using a special bonding material to ensure
its long-term stability.
Because inlays and onlays can
be crafted from materials that closely resemble the color
of natural teeth, they are nearly invisible when used to fill
cavities. With proper care, an inlay or onlay can support
damaged teeth for a long time.

Tooth Contouring
Dental contouring is one of
the more economical and convenient cosmetic dentistry options
available to our patients. Contouring helps to create healthy,
gorgeous smiles by correcting crooked, misshapen, or overlapping
teeth. There are several ways to contour teeth; the actual
process involves shaping irregular teeth until they produce
a uniform, attractive smile. The subtle changes that contouring
accomplishes can result in significant improvements in one's
appearance.
After teeth have been reshaped,
dental bonding can be used to add the final touches that will
achieve the desired look. Most patients can undergo dental
contouring without anesthesia, which means that anyone bothered
by the thought of needles can comfortably and conveniently
experience the benefits of contouring. Another advantage is
that contouring can often be performed in the course of a
single visit, allowing patients to enjoy their brand new smile
as soon as they leave our office.
